Michael moved to Portola, CA in 2014 and joined the Beckwourth Fire Department as a volunteer in 2021.  From the age of 17, Mike has served in the U.S. Army, starting with active duty and now The Nevada Army National Guard.  During his 21 years of service, he has been on two overseas deployments and multiple stateside humanitarian missions.

He enjoys everything the outdoors has to offer and being with his family.
