Greg McCaffrey

District Fire Chief / RN, MCIN / Fireline Paramedic

Chief McCaffrey was hired as the Deputy Chief in 2006 then became the District Chief in 2008.  He comes to us with over 30 years in fire and EMS experience.  Including 15 years as both a Flight Paramedic and Flight Nurse  on the Enloe Flight Care EMS helicopter out of Chico CA.

Holding state certifications as: Fire Officer, Fire Instructor, Prevention Officer and college degrees in Paramedic and Nursing, Chief McCaffrey enjoys teaching many of the EMS and fire classes held each winter.

Chief McCaffrey has also been a Paramedic instructor at Butte College and EMT instructor at Lassen College.

Hobbies include: Horseback riding, Hiking, Restoring antique vehicles, and going to school sports with his son.
